See the readings/handouts folder for information about how to organize and write the rhetorical analysis essay (The textbook doesn’t contain examples for a non-fiction piece, so the handouts folder is important). No outside research or sources are needed. A works cited page should be given for the non-fiction article/speech you are analyzing. Quotations from the article/speech are expected within body paragraphs. The essay should be written in 3rd person point of view. The conclusion should end with an ah-ha by giving a final point to the analysis–what does the reader learn from reading your analysis of the non-fiction selection?
